The big differences
Nothing you say is lost
LoopRoom writes the recording to your device before anything else, keeps it if the connection drops or the app quits, and a stopped dictation always saves. Wispr Flow's own help center describes gaps in iPhone dictations when the connection is unstable.
Every dictation is kept, and filed
When you stop, LoopRoom transcribes the whole recording again for a cleaner result, writes a title, and tags it to the project it is about. A week later you can search for it, or find it on the project.
It knows you are in a room
While you dictate, your team sees it, and the room goes quiet for you so their conversation does not end up in your notes. You can dictate in the middle of a call without leaving it.
One of eight
For dictation alone Wispr Flow costs less: $15 a person against our $29.99. The same price covers your team's room and calls, chat, clips, booking, tickets, customer support and error reports.
Where Wispr Flow is better
It is the better dictation tool, everywhere. Wispr Flow dictates into any app on Mac, Windows, iPhone and Android, in more than 100 languages. LoopRoom dictates into any app on a Mac today, with Windows in testing and dictation inside the iPhone app.
It learns how you talk. A personal dictionary for names and jargon, editing by voice, and a writing style per app. LoopRoom has none of those yet.
A free plan, and security for larger teams. Wispr Flow has a free plan, and single sign-on and a HIPAA agreement on its Growth plan.
Questions
Can LoopRoom dictate into any app?
On a Mac, yes: press Option and Space and talk, and the text goes where your cursor is. Windows is in testing, and on iPhone you dictate inside the LoopRoom app.
Is LoopRoom cheaper than Wispr Flow?
For dictation alone, no: Wispr Flow Pro is $15 a person a month ($12 billed yearly) and LoopRoom is $29.99 ($24.99 billed yearly). LoopRoom's price also covers calls, chat, clips, booking, tickets, customer support and error reports.
Will it learn names and jargon?
Not yet. LoopRoom sets your language automatically after a few dictations, but it has no personal dictionary today. If your work is full of unusual names, Wispr Flow handles them better.
