LoopRoom vs Calendly

Calendly finds a time and hands your guest a Zoom or Meet link. LoopRoom's booking link opens a real room: your guest knocks, and you are already there. Here is the comparison, including where Calendly is the better choice, and for most scheduling today it is.

The big differences

The link opens a room, not a meeting link

There is no Zoom account to connect and no link that dies after the call. Your guest opens the link, types their name and knocks on a room that was already there, and you can send them a message while they wait.

Paint your week

Drag across the hours you are free, several blocks a day, and the guest sees continuous time in their own time zone. Anything already booked in LoopRoom is taken out for you.

The call lands where the work is

The meeting can be transcribed automatically, titled and tagged to your projects, and kept in the room's history. A client call becomes something your team can find next week.

One of eight

For booking alone Calendly costs less: $12 a person, though you still need a video tool. LoopRoom's $29.99 includes the room the meeting happens in, and chat, clips, dictation, tickets, customer support and error reports.

Where Calendly is better

It knows your calendar. Calendly connects to Google, Outlook and Exchange and never offers a time you are busy. LoopRoom only knows meetings booked in LoopRoom today. If your days live in Google Calendar, that alone decides it for now.

It does far more scheduling. Round robin and team scheduling, payments, routing forms, reminders by email and text, and integrations with the CRMs sales teams use.

Security paperwork. Calendly has SOC 2, ISO 27001 and single sign-on. We do not have those yet.

Questions

Does LoopRoom check my Google Calendar?

Not yet. It checks everything booked in LoopRoom, so two guests can never book the same time, but a meeting that exists only in Google Calendar is invisible to it. If that matters to you, Calendly is the better choice today.

Does my guest need an account or an app?

No. They open the link in a browser, pick a time, and on the day they knock on your room.

Is LoopRoom cheaper than Calendly?

For booking alone, no: Calendly Standard is $12 a person a month ($10 billed yearly), plus a video tool for the meeting itself. LoopRoom is $29.99 ($24.99 billed yearly) and includes the room, chat, clips, dictation, tickets, customer support and error reports.
